A 27-year-old man involved in a collision in February remained at a prison in Donaldsonville on April 22 instead of posting a $100,000 bail. The driver will face felony and misdemeanor charges for a collision that resulted in the death of a 66-year-old SUV driver. Police reports state that there was no evidence that the man had consumed any drugs or alcohol the morning of the Feb. 22 collision, and the driver admitted to having done drugs the previous day.
A motorcyclist was injured in a fiery crash in Metairie during the morning hours of March 2, according to reports. The biker reportedly suffered several fractured bones.

A Louisiana woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Oct. 16 at some time after 4 p.m., according to state troopers. The 83-year-old woman was driving her Lincoln MKZ on Joor Road. She was headed north when she came to a stop at the LA Highway 64 intersection and attempted to turn left. She turned into the path of a 51-year-old male driver traveling east on the highway and was struck by his Dodge pickup truck.
