Attorney Chip ForstallWe have always dedicated ourselves to helping those who have suffered injury or death as a result of another's negligence. We represent only injured persons and their families. We do not and will not represent insurance companies, governmental organizations or corporations.

Since 1979, we have successfully handled thousands of cases for injured people by getting them the compensation they deserve.

chipWarren A. “Chip” Forstall

Warren A. “Chip” Forstall graduated from the University of New Orleans in 1975 and received his law degree from Loyola University in 1979. He is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state courts and the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of Louisiana.

Chip lives in New Orleans with his wife, Michelle Poirier Forstall. He has three children.

Chip has been involved in thousands of cases over his twenty-nine years of practicing law and has been involved in numerous large class action type cases including the following:

Chip is a member of the Southern University Board of Supervisors, where he serves as chairman of their Legal Committee. He is also legal counsel for the Executive Board of the Southeast Louisiana Council Boy Scouts of America and is Chairman of Digital Opportunity Trust, USA, a non-profit association for the enhancement of technology to teachers in the Louisiana and Mississippi Public Schools.

Chip Forstall’s office is located in the Mid-City area of New Orleans and specializes in Personal Injury, Premises Liability and Medical Malpractice cases


rhettRhett M. Powers

Rhett M. Powers graduated and received his law degree from Loyola in 1967 and lives in Mandeville with his wife, Wendy. Rhett has five children and five grandchildren. He has been a trial attorney with the Law Offices of Warren A. Forstall, Jr. for over ten years.

He is admitted to all Louisiana State Courts and United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.

Rhett has extensive experience in the personal injury business. Having worked for Automotive Casualty Company, as it’s in-house council for six years, and as a member of the Association of Defense Council from 1987 to 1993 gives Rhett special insight into how insurance companies work.

Rhett is the treasurer for The Knights of Columbus and a member of it’s Color Corps in the Harry Thompson 4th Degree at Mary Queen of Peace Parish in Mandeville Louisiana.


susanneSuzanne Montero

M. Suzanne Montero graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas in 1985 earning a B.A. degree in Psychology. She attended law school at the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where she received her J.D. Degree in December, 1991. She was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar in April 1992. She is admitted to practice in all State Courts in Louisiana, the United Stated District Courts for the Eastern, Western and Middle Districts of Louisiana, and the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Ms. Montero is also a member of and admitted to practice before the Chitimacha Tribal Court.

Ms. Montero’s practice includes personal injury, commercial litigation, employment litigation, medical malpractice, toxic tort and products liability.

Ms. Montero has been an adjunct faculty member of Tulane University School of Law, Trial Advocacy Program from 1995 to date. She received the AIDSLaw of Louisiana, Inc. Pro Bono Publico Award in 2000.


christopherChristopher H. Sherwood

Christopher H. Sherwood graduated from Loyola University in 1987 earning a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree. In 1993, Chris graduated from Loyola University with a Master of Business Administration. During business school, he was a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma and Alpha sigma Nu Honor Societies. In 2001, Chris received his Law Degree from Loyola Law School and was admitted to the Louisiana Bar. While in law school, Chris received Law Excellence Awards in Injured Employee Remedies and Compensation Rights and Louisiana Probate. Chris also received the Leon Sarpy Award for outstanding performance in Louisiana Probate. He is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state courts and the United States District Courts and the United States District Courts for the Eastern and western Districts of Louisiana.

Chris lives in New Orleans with his wife and two children. He has been very active in the community. Chris presently serves on the Board of Directors of the New Orleans Speech and Hearing Center. He previously served on the Board of Directors of Junior Associated Catholic Charities where he was President. He also served on the Board of Trustees of St. Andrew’s Episcopal School where he was Chairman of the Technology Council. In addition, Chris served on the Loyola University Alumni Board of Directors. Chris was selected Man of the Year for 1996 by the Metairie Jaycees.

Since joining the firm in 2008, Chris’s practice has been a general litigation practice including handling claims involving automobile personal injury, maritime personal injury, premises liability, environmental contamination, products liability, toxic tort, and medical malpractice.


MuraWilliam e. Mura jr.

William E. Mura Jr. is married and now lives in Pass Christian, MS with his wife Roann. He has two daughters, both currently attending Louisiana State University. Bill coached baseball and softball for twenty years at Lakeview and Carrolton playgrounds in New Orleans and coached Travel Softball for several teams in the Southeast Louisiana area.

Bill graduated from the University of New Orleans with a B.A. in psychology and then attended the College of Law at Loyola Law School and was admitted to the bar in 1978. He is licensed to practice in all State Courts as well as in Federal District Court and the U. S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals.

William has been a trial attorney for Warren A. “Chip”Forstall for the past 15 years.



Paralegal

lawrenceLawrence Geason Jr.

Lawrence Geason Jr. lives in LaPlace, Louisiana with his wife of 26 years, Sonya. They have two children and one grandchild.

Lawrence received his Paralegal Certificate in 1982 at the Institute for Legal Studies and has been with Warren A. “Chip” Forstall for 23 years. Lawrence started with Chip’s office as a court runner and has worked his way to top paralegal, helping Chip handle thousands of files

carmenCarmen J. Sanchez

Carmen J. Sanchez was born and raised in New Orleans, LA. She received her Paralegal Certificate at UNO in 2003 and currently majors in Political Science at UNO, with a projected graduate date of Spring 2010.

Carmen served in the U.S. Army for 3 years as a 92A (Automated Logistics Specialist). She also served in Kuwait for 6 months in 1998 and was honorably discharged in 1999. During her service in the Army, she earned The Army Commendation Medal for her diligent duty throughout her enlistment. She also earned The Army Achievement Medal for her support and accomplishments during her deployment to Kuwait for Operation Desert Storm.


Carmen has been with The Law Offices of Warren A. “Chip” Forstall since 2000. She first came on board as a secretary and upon graduating paralegal school, became a paralegal for Chip. After completing her college degree, Carmen plans on applying to Loyola Law School’s night program.
